Eat on The Skye

The Skye Bar & Restaurant is one of best rooftop bar and sky lounge in Jakarta. It’s located in the heart of the city, on 56th floor, rooftop of BCA tower – Grand Indonesia. To get into SKYE, you can use the lift which is close to Gramedia on 3rd floor, East Mall of Grand Indonesia. This sky high venue is a perfect spot to watch the countless buildings and especially to see the sunset of city’s official firework shows.

When I go to SKYE, the first food I order was chicken wings. Chicken wings are served on a plate shaped like a mortar. The taste of chicken wings is tasty, savory and slightly spicy. Sprink with fried garlic makes the taste of chicken wings more delicious. If I’m not wrong, a serving of chicken wings contains 6-8 pcs.

The second food I ordered was Grilled Premium Sirloin. I ask for the meat to be roasted medium. I do not think it tastes so good. For the drink, I ordered Apple Virgin and Island Breeze. Apple Virgin tastes sour and sweet with mint leaves make a fresh sensation, coupled with apple pieces. The flavor of the island breeze is sweet and fresh.

The payment system in SKYE isn’t like any other restaurant. When you get here, you’ll directed to the receptionist to make a payment. IDR 200.000 is the minimum payment for every person who came here. After you pay, you’ll be given a coupon which represent the minimum payment, after that, you’ll be stamped on the hand and get in to the lounge. So, you can enjoy the food with astonishing view.
